Jess promised that, with corrected and more mindful eating, I can have my cake and eat it too! And she was right.

“As a person who struggled with weight in childhood, and then corrected the problem in early adulthood, I’ve always been someone conscious of food intake. In some ways obsessed. I love to eat, cook and enjoy good food with friends. Being pregnant with my first child in 2014/2015 I took it to the next level and completely let myself go, eating whatever I wanted as I was “eating for two”. To be honest, the bad habits started a few months before I was even pregnant that year. Reckless and mindless “social eating and drinking” as well as no portion control led me to bring my usual 62kg weight to 69kg when I found out I was pregnant. Add the 11kg I gained in pregnancy and I ended up the biggest I’ve ever been with anxiety about my weight and a lot of work to do and no idea where to start. You see, bad habits creep up on you. I, as well as many of my friends, viewed myself as a person who eats healthy. I often choose salads, wraps, etc for meal choices and love vegetables to bits. So why wasn’t I losing weight?

Enter here my friend Jessica, who had the same struggles as me and overcame her issues with flying colours. She even studied nutrition and fitness as it became her life passion! Jess got me. She knew I didn’t want extreme restricted eating like no fat or no carbs, she also knew I love my Friday night pizza and more often than just weekly wining and dining.
